Welcome to Karruka Car Rental. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully, as they outline your rights and obligations as a customer.

1. Rental Agreement

By making a reservation and renting a vehicle, you enter into a rental agreement with Karruka Car Rental, hereinafter referred to as “the Company.” This agreement governs the rental of the vehicle and your obligations as a renter.

2. Reservation Confirmation

All reservations are subject to confirmation by the Company. Once your reservation has been reviewed and accepted, you will receive a confirmation email or message. Only then will your booking be considered active. The Company reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations if necessary.

3. No Credit Card Required Option

For rentals from our location at Tirana International Airport, you have the option to rent a vehicle without providing a credit card. However, other payment and identification methods will be required upon pick-up to ensure the security of the rental.

4. Driver’s License and Age Requirements

To rent a vehicle, the renter must:

• Hold a valid driver’s license for at least one year.
• Present the driver’s license and valid identification at the time of rental.
• International drivers must present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their original license.

5. Payment Terms

Payment for the rental vehicle can be made via credit card, debit card, or cash (if no credit card is used).
Any additional services, such as GPS, child seats, or insurance coverage, must be paid for at the time of rental.
A security deposit may be required, depending on the payment method used and the vehicle class.

6. Vehicle Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Vehicles must be picked up and dropped off at the agreed time and location.
Late returns may result in additional fees.
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
Notice: A surcharge of €15 will be applied to the rental cost for any vehicle pick-ups scheduled after 23:00.

7. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The renter is required to return the vehicle with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling fee will apply.

8. Insurance and Liability

The rental includes basic insurance coverage. Additional insurance options are available at the time of rental for an extra fee.
The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, subject to the terms of the insurance coverage.
The renter is liable for traffic fines, parking violations, and any other penalties incurred during the rental period.

9. Cancellation and Modifications

Cancellations must be made by contacting the Company at +355 685 860 620.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the pick-up time may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Modifications to reservations are allowed but are subject to vehicle availability.

10. Vehicle Usage

The vehicle must only be used for lawful purposes.
The renter is not permitted to drive the vehicle off-road, engage in racing, or use the vehicle in any way that violates local laws.
The vehicle may only be driven by the individuals listed in the rental agreement.

11. Breakdown and Accidents

In the event of a breakdown, the renter should contact the Company immediately for assistance.
In the case of an accident, the renter must inform the local authorities and the Company without delay. An accident report must be completed, and all relevant documentation must be submitted to the Company.

12. Additional Charges

Additional fees may apply for:

• Late returns or early drop-offs.
• Additional drivers.
• Vehicle cleaning if returned in a dirty condition.
• Damages to the vehicle or loss of vehicle parts.

13. Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information provided during the reservation process will only be used for the purpose of providing our services. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Albania. Any disputes arising from the rental agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Albania.

15. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and the updated terms will be posted on our website.
